8RDA+ 180fsb vs. 200fsb - What is the difference?

How much of a difference is there between 180fsb and 200fsb. Can I tell the difference? My NB would need more cooling I think. My cousin took off his heastsink and pad, lapped the heatsink and put it back on, He then positioned fan near it. He gets 200fsb. I can not. I have 3500 hyperx memory and a 1700+ running at 12x180. I tried it at 200x8 and it was a no go. Does this sound like a NB cooling problem?

look in the epox motherboards forums for more info, but sounds like your cousin got a bit more lucky than you.

if you can in the bios look at your vdd and his vdd, my guess is his will be a little higher

but yeah some of it is in the chip, it's like how 2 2100+ will clock to different speeds.
