Final word on socket A mobo's

In choosing a new mobo for the socket A platform,
the KT-400A is now officialy out of the running. The specs on it have been released and it won't hold a candle to the NF2 chipset.
ALSO, the ABIT NF7-S rev. 1.02 is now out and advertised on some sites for sale. It appears to be a bad muda BUT, everyone is freaking over the v-dimm. It maxes out at 2.9v. That has made a lot of people very disappointed.
I'm ready to buy a board NOW guys.
The Epox 8RDA seems like the best bet for overclocking as it currently holds the 3DMark highest score at something like a 237 fsb. But I hear all this jazz about it needing voltage mods of the vdd? whats up with this and isn't the board overclockable up to like 200fsb without doing any mods?
The asus board, A7N8X or the A7V8x is supposed to rock but I know very little about it.
The Abit NF7-s rev. 1.02 is very interesting but the v-dimm is scary.
I would love to see a comparision or even a discussion about the pros and cons of these 3 mobo's
Lets start talking guys. Tell me what you think. MIke

the 8rda vdimm tops out at 2.9v also,it needs mod to go higher.
stock mine did 192fsb max,and i had to do the vdd mod to it just to get 200fsb.
1.85vdd=205fsb
1.98vdd=216 fsb
there are currently mods out for the vdimm and vcore also.
since i did the vdd mod you need also to cool the north bridge also,so i had to do that.i used an amd retail packed socketA heatsink and fan and as3'd it on.really tight working on it now with external lug mounting i use on my waterblock.

while i was at it i figured why not go all out as there isnt no way in hell i could rma this thing.
so i put some nice ramsinks on my mosfets and also put the stock NB heatsick on my south bridge.it needs some filing or dremel work to clear some small parts surrounding it,but fits to the holes perfectly.

out of the box id give the 8rda an 8 1/2 out of ten.generaly great for the average ocer.but if your hardcore be prepared for some work.

out of the box id rank the a7v333 a 9 out of ten but after modding this 8rda its a ten now and blows way past the a7v333 in ocing.

this concludes my mini review

Some do, some dont. My 8RDA+ is running at 200FSB 24/7 folding without any mods at all. 210 is mostly stable and it can boot at 215.

id go with 8RGA+

You should be able to clock past 200 with no mods (as VDD is ajustable ia bios)
