I like the KG7 except for its voltage adjustments. Believe it only goes up to 1.85V without modification. If you like doing board mods then it should be an excellent board.

The KG7 is a good solid board - with a small limitation - voltage. As Jon stated, the max vcore from bios is 1.85v - unless you do some soldering on the mobo.
The Epox 8K7A is also an outstanding board - with a major plus - in that you can jumper the voltage up to +.4v on the vcore and the memory voltage.
With the Epox, I can get the fsb up to 172 at +.3v - 2.05vcore.

Love my 8K7A+ too.

Best board I've used in a long time.

The Epox board the boys ar mentioning is a DDR MoBo. It is currently one of the best, if not the best, DDR SocketA overclocking board on the market. It makes use of an AMD northbridge, and a VIA southbridge, a good combonation in most scenarios.

The next great board for DDR SocketA overclocking will undoubtably be the Epox EP-8KHA+. This board will offer much increased memory bandwidth thanxs to the KT266A chipset. The board should show up on price watch sometime in the next two weeks or so. However this board will require the addition of a 47Kohm pot, and two six inch lengths of wire to get the high Vcore goodness we all need. But don't worry, someone will figure out the hack in no time. I'm going to give the Vcore hack a crack myself, but I don't know if I will be able to figure it out.

Don't fry it. I hate to see a nice board go to waste. I must agree that the 8KHA+ looks very promising. Another one to watch will be the KR7, I believe it is. It's basically the KG7 with the KT266A chipset. Good stuff.

Oh, someone just did a review on it and said it was about 2-3% slower than KT266A Reference Board. Look on the www.overclockers.com main page, I think that's where I saw it. Or maybe www.hardocp.com. Integrated Video isn't very good either. Not even on-par with an MX400.

ABIT needs to learn a thing or two about quality control, that's their biggest downside. (well, that and the weird character they use as part of their logo)

The KG7 is a nice board, it's humming along nicely here, but I've only spent a couple of days with it. So, I guess we'll see what happens after we pound on it some more.

Don't worry, a friend of mine is very knowledgable in motherboard design. If I think I've figure out how to do it, I will of course run it by him to be sure I don't make a mistake.
