KK266-R won't turn off?

Everytime I shut down, the system goes through closing windoze and boots back up. I have to manually turn off power supply. Any advice would be great!

Come to think of it. This started happening when I upgraded from Win 98 to 89SE. Things that make you go hmmm!

Maybe they need a third edition! Oh, wait, that's ME. Makes sense. The third is worse than the second and the second is worse than the first.

I had this one. Check to see if you have "wake on lan" enabled in your BIOS.

Disable it.

I use to have this happend to me too. I would be sitting there watching a movie and all of a sudden out of the blue my computer would turn on all by it self.

I thought it was the weirdest thing.

Solved the problem, I installed XP Pro. Everything is running beautifully. My 3D 2001 scores are better and I am quite happy w/ the new OS.

This thread answers the question as to why my computer turns itself on(which kind of freaked me out the first time it happened since I sold my Mac ) and won't turn off like it's supposed to or at least it seems to answer it. I noticed similar power irregularities with my kk266+ that I don't have with any of my other boards, even on the same PSU. Running winME. It also turns itself on upon plugging it in.
Glad to hear about XP pro. Just ordered it today.
