Just relax and wait to see some new posts coming in a few days....

Then we can tell again about Jokes....

XMS 3500 is on way and already done some benches with XMS 3200 which i will no POST and all seems be  ..

So my friends dont hurry to kill me ....

BTW you speak a lot for bad MEM scores..... so give me a link with POST of a NON MODDED BOARD which is able to run stable over 240 fsb ASYNCH and i will give up right now....

I search all the forums and find nothing but MODDED boards and a lot of burned mobos....

Just wait a Little and i bet you will loose your sleep when you will see what this board can do...

Its a A3 stepping chipset board and NOT C1 (new nforce stepping)...

Dimitris.....

Finnaly i loose my BIOS by mistake....

I was on 242 FSB and pressed RESET KEY with combination of INSERT KEY to boot on 100 FSB and make some BIOS changes...

But i dint check and booted again on 242 FSB and after pressing F10 (Save and Exit) never boot again...

Cbox display (Post88) gives me an FF code and no booting....

I've made all actions needed but YES my BIOS chip is DEAD...

I was ready to accept a damage during tests but NOT this way....

Next time i must be more careful i think

BTW i have now a new 7NJS on my hands (new BUY) and see if can fix my old BIOS with a hot SWAP procedure...

Yes Ordered XMS3500 Cas 2 2x512MB modules from Below-0.com (Australia) and waiting for continue OCking over 242 FSB SYNCH SCDDR or DCDDR mode.....

Until then ... GOD rest my last 7NJS..

Dimitris......

OMG what i have done

You need help hot swapping, let me know. Sorry to hear it. Just remember, it's only the BIOS chip is scrambled, probably and with a good hot swap should be up and running no problem!

Ok i swap bios from new board to old and its working again
But hot swap dont work cause BIOS chip is dead and cant be flashed... So i need a new BIOS chip and its very hard to find it here...

BTW the new board is great but i will not do some extreme OC until this BIOS problem will fixed...

UncleBOB i cut the 5th L3 pins on my XP2600+ and all multipliers was working but it was unable to work over 100 FSB...
If i choose even 101 FSB then mobo dont boot....

I cover again the L3 (5th) pins with contact grease but my system is not stable anymore over 190 FSB or when temp > 53 C

If you have some ideas will be welcome....

Dimitris....

Sorry to hear that. How did you try to hotflash?
What is the rating on your XP2600? 333 or 266?

First of all my XP is 333mhz..

Hot swap procedure...

Put a bootable floppy with 2402 BIOS and awardflasher...on the good mobo..

When boot on dos i remove carefully BIOS and install the faulty one...

Run the flasher programm and make BIOS Flash....

But during the procedure when verifing an error message comes inform me that my BIOS cant be Programmed..

SO BIOS chip is dead.....

Dimitris....

This thread might help. It did me!

Also, make sure you have the jumper JP 25 set with 1 & 2 shorted to enable 266/333.

HTH!

I will look at your link and see how can fix this mess...

Thanks a lot....Dimitris

I've never tried that. I'm a little leary of wire mods. If done incorrectly my giess is it's good bye el chippo! I have seen lot's of others do it with success tho. Ive got 50 year old eyes with some hard miles on them so don't take my word for it.

Finally i didnt do the wire trick....

I dont know WHY or HOW but my system now can boot at any FSB i select and all multipliers are UNLOCKED..

The strange thing is my SYSTEM isnt stable anymore at FSB>186..
I can work stable my CPU near 2600 with the exact multi but not stable when FSB>186.. If i choose 200 FSB then i have post and Black screen after....

The exact symptoms appear on both mobos (old & new) which make me believe its a CPU or RAM issue...

New mobo give me low voltages on 3.3 / 5 / 12 volt rails and when choose 1.70 Vcore i take 1.65....

I think my luck is over my friends......

Dimitris....

I did that and had same problems my friend....

I will do more tests to find out why this happends... Probably my CPU dont like to be tambered or RAM modules are messed up...

This new board had some remakes on it.... Missing some jumbers and a bridge wire over CLK jumber...See at the image....

Chipset also is newer (5402A3) so maybe can give me more power...
