Need Help Quick :(

I just got my 1700+ AXDA1700DLT3C / JIUHB0310XPMW , and instaled right into my rig by just replacing my 2100+. Everything went fine at first, got it up to 2035 on stock voltage (let it burn in for awile 11x175), then tried running 3dmark2k1 and it stopped the program. So I went and upped the voltage to 1.6 and ran sandra burn-in and started looping 3dmark2k1 again. When I came home my comp was off and I could here a faint siren going . It will only stop if I unplug the main power, but doesn't seem to wanna boot if I raise the voltage at all. Did I just get a ****ty overclocker?

temps are fine, I just swapped processors and the 2100+ was running 2.35 before this. Could it be because I didn't reinstall OS or drivers?

In this case, OS or drivers shouldn't make any difference. Sometimes a BIOS update is necessary if you install a faster CPU.
