Ever made the front page of your local newspaper? Why do I ask? Because I have and above the fold, too. And not for a criminal or anti-social act. Gasp. Whaddaya mean, "gasp?" Ooh, I can't wait for the aphids to invade the oak tree that I'm parked beneath. They drop some nasty very sticky fluid on to the paint. It'd be less objectionable if it didn't leach the black color from rubber that surrounds the windows. Yeah, you could say that some folks have more pressing problems!

Ever have a Cyrix processor? The first(and only) store-bought machine I had sported a Cyrix 166. Benchmarks beat a comparable Intel proc--as long as no L2 cache was required. WTH didn't Cyrix, later Via add an L2 cache to their procs? It's a mystery. No mystery about it, AOA case badges rock!

No, wait. I bought a laptop a few months ago, that's two store-bought machines. I just didn't feel up to the challenge of building a knee warmer. Desk warmers? No prob!

High of 63F today in Seattle, as weather.com tells it. Oops, forgot that summer won't be dependably here until the second week of July. Oh well, somewhere someone wishes that they'd see 63F today!

Summer starts in two days. Have you checked your tire pressure lately? I did, it's all messed up. Back to the gas station that charges 75 cents for air. I mean, really.

After using it for years for free, I bought Ad-Aware Plus yesterday. Only $13.48! Yeah, right. More like $29 including a CD. Didn't like the way it KO'd Trend Micro. Beauty part: the PC Cillin CD I bought just in case actually installed and ran like a champ. Without needing to call the bahstages up for a re-authorization password. Miraculous!

A friend recommended Spybot S&D. It found one piece of spyware that Trend Micro's PC-Cillin and Ad-Aware Plus missed. From Mocrisift. Goes to show ya.
