I've strongly favored early "retirement" for Dubya since roughly two years into his first stint -- biggest fear though, was his viceP would be even worse. Still, what can you seriously expect from the prez of the partyingest frat on campus?

I see the Senate Repub leaders are doing their best to kill any rank&file support for Obama's efforts. They're pushing for business tax cuts -- something they always pushed for big oil and other majors, but eschewed for small business. No doubt they desperately want to pour more dollars into Dubya's legacy -- fat big oil!

Personally, I never really got a sense of difference between the Repub party as a whole and Dubya, it's only his eventual declining approval ratings that made them blink. So, if you vote for Gitmo, I say the lot, not just the admin. (And PLEASE, the sooner the better -- hard to feel comfortable with the idea of Dubya being set for life -- probably with plenty of long term kickbacks from all his well heeled palsy-walsy's as well.) The last eight years may have largely wiped out many of us, but the Dubya gang and close affiliates got rich!
