| I'm no expert. but I think your going to have to either find someone to re-program your BIOS chip or buy a new one. Sorry mate!

| Do you have another CPU you could drop in the board for a boot? I had an 8KHA+ that was locked up like yours and it wasn't until I put a new CPU in it did it come back to life. Also try leaving the motherboard without anything connected and remove the battery for a couple days. Last but not least, try getting another CMOS chip of same size and voltage. Have it reprogrammed. You could be like some of us hardcore guys and reprogram your chip in another BIOS chip compatible motherboard that is already running in DOS. You need to turn on shadow BIOS, etc.

| By CPU I mean another Socket-A type processor like a Thunderbird, Palomino or Tbred. Once the board fired up with a different processor, I re-installed the old processor and everything has been fine since. It was really odd but it sure did work. I wish I knew why. Might have to do with hardware data stored in NVRAM on the mobo. Not absolutely sure.

| Give this a read, you might get lucky with a boot block flash. www.amptron.com/documents/Recover.pdf

| If the bootblock code is intact, it'll execute regardless of what you do! However, some BIOS upgrades re-write the bootblock too, and if one of these goes wrong, then you're left without a bootblock. Áedán
