Need help for updating Abit NF7-S Bios

Can I update my Bios by pressing the ALT+F2 in the POST instead of using the bootable disk method?

I don't think so, but I'm not an Abit owner. There's always the possibility of winding up with a dead mainboard, even if the BIOS is updated by the book. For this reason, I only update BIOS when I absolutely must.

I dont think I will update my Bios now, because I think my board does pretty well in overclocking my 1700+.

My Friend got a new NF7 with a new version of bios, however, it couldn't even run @ 200x10.5(2100MHz) with 1.55 or 1.575V with PC-400 DDR Ram.
