Build Me a System - Please!

ok, after moaning in the EPoX forum after speaking about the KT600, I've decided to just go out on a limb and order a system.

I'll outline my main uses and what I would like in my system.

Main Uses:
Surfing the Net
Office use

y'unno, the usual crap!

Atm, I'm currently using a GF4 MX440 as my graphics card, it does the job tbh, I'm not a big FPS guy. So when recommending a Gcard, take that into account.

Casewise, I'm currently using a Antec Plusview 1000AMG. Hey it's not a bad case, too heavy imo tho.

I'll get to the point shall I? Hehe.

My budget it going to be around the £700 - 750 mark.

I generally don't think much of the Abit NF7-S 2.0 board, nor do I like the MSI offering. I hear the EPoX 8rda3+ is rather crappy also.

I want to be able to O/C the board quite alot, 230+ FSB would be lovely. I've already got a processor to put in it, 1700+ DLT3C 0308 stepping.

S-ATA is an option, definately would need it if you recommend me the KT600 EPoX board.

That's about it I guess, please make some suggestions as I'm beginning to tear my hair out on this subject. Hell, after i got the PC, I'll be here posting my problems

ah well. Thanks people!

For video card I would get a 9600 Pro or 9500Pro. If you want cheaper than that then get a Ti4200.

I would want at least 512mb of some good DDR 3200 or 3500 overclocking ram such as Corsair XMS.

As for mobo, i don't know much...

if i was in the uk i would seriously consider the 8RGMI+ and a seagate sata drive. it should overclock to 200fsb easily with only the addition of a fan over the stock igp heatsink. it has integrated geforce4mx that works well if u use 2 sticks of memory. as soon as you put your mx card in the onboard graphics will be disabled and 220fsb should be within reach. otherwise the soltek nv400 or EPoX 8RDAE is cheap and fast if you can do without sata. most important is good memory. twinmos ddr400 with winbond chips seems the best so far. kingston valueram is not bad iether for a brand name at a half descent price.
bench: a64 abit kv8-max3, no cpu, bh-5
server: epox-nf2, 1700+, ddr266, openbsd
