decisions decisions....

hi there

abit nf7-s or asus a7nx8 deluxe?

i have asked some people about whether they think i should get the Asus or the Abit. i like the asus because it has a fractional amount of extra features, but then again i like the abit becuase it has tons of features. (hmm, have i mentioned they both have alot of features?)

i am really confused, and am not sure what to go for. please could i ask for some peoples opinions as to which one i should get?

cheers

offie

cheers - is there any good sides/bad sides to the abit & asus?

e.g. the abit comes with a serial adapter for standard ata hdds to connect to s-ata.

Out of the box, I think the Abit is better for a few reasons.... I prefer the bios interface for overclocking (softmenu3) and it comes with a 3 year warrantee.... The only drawback I see is no cooling on the south bridge... I think I will change that.... I max out at 213fsb.... and I think it can go higher.

I've never used the Asus so can't comment but I do like the Abit. I need to update my sig as I've been running 100% load continuously at 221 FSB dual channel for about a week now.

I've had both and now have the DFI Lanparty NFII. The abit is defintely tops in OC'ability. I think the Asus had a little bit better quality of ide controllers though, its weird the asus never had drive problems but the Abit would sometimes flake out but its prolly just random quality issue but goes towards Asus maybe being more reliable.

well, i went to maplin (electronics company in the uk, not sure about elsewhere) and asked them which one i should go for. all the staff at maplin crowded round and debated, and started to drool over the Abit.
