Whats the difference between AMD Athlon 64 3200 & AMD Athlon FX 51? Is it just the clock speed?

keep in mind a £50 cpu can be overclocked and actually out-perform the A64's in some benchmarks, even when the A64 do win its never more than 20% and more like 10-15% in most things.

£50 cpu vs £700 hmmm... i know which one i'd go for.

my advice is wait untill the 90nm cpu's come out. theres not allot of gain with this generation of cpu.

socket 940 is dual channel but requires registered memory. the orb is currently owned by the single channel nforce3 with athlon64 socket 754
