I'm using the 1.8 BIOS on a rev2 board. Be careful about which version you download. The rev 1. and 2 boards have different BIOS updates. You can get the latest one here

Just a thought as well, I used the utility to flash from windows on the Abit site and it said everything was fine but the board never booted again till I got a new chip. Probably just bad luck but I think I'll use a floppy next time. The utility has been updated since though.

I just got a NF7-S yesterday and flashed to bios #18. 200mhz was somewhat unstable but it was fine with bios #17 which I plan to flash back to tonight.

18 is a must if you plan on using SATA. The older bioses will corrupt any hdds on the sata connector. Abit also mentions changes in hidden timings for memory that are meant to comply with nvidia recommendations.

I'm on 18, and it seems fine... In a few days, I hope to be pushing it. ATM, with XMS3200 I run 200fsb. I can get to 212, but doesn't seem 100%.

I'm waiting for a pair of GEIL 3500, which will take me to a gig dualddr, and hopefully at a much higher fsb.

I'm using the V17 BIOS, never had an issue with it. Its good to 208FSB (x10) for me with everything (CPU, VDD and Mem) at stock voltages. When I get a decent cooler I'll turn on the gas!

running v18 with ver2 217fsb with 2x512 ADATA cheapo PC3200. ran that with stock cooling and no case fans, upgraded to zalman northbridge cooler with a silent 40mm fan on top cus of the buzzing noise of the stock fan - aint bothered to see if i can clock higher.

EDIT: you lot have nice corsair PC3200 and NF7-s v2.0, what's you highest 24/7 stable FSB/mem clock 1:1 and how much did you pay for your sticks?
Mine is 218 with each 512 meg stick costing £64 English pound's each

218/64=3.4mhz per pound paid.

How much do you get per buck for your ram?
