It worth the money considering your great results, and the chance to use Serial ATA controller???

Absolutly not for me!

EDIT: Oopps, didn't notice this was your first post, Chimera! Welcome to AOA Forums!!

My NF7-S V2 is quite a bit better than my 8RDA+ ever was. However, considering the fact that you are already at 220 FSB, the performance improvements you will see are minimal.

About the money consıderation, I need only 20-30$ bugs to upgrade my mobo. However, I am not thinking about to use SATA becouse I do not have any SATA drives. Moreover, I do not care about SATA...

If you don't want SATA, and you are otherwise happy with the EPoX, don't bother getting another board just now.

When my 8RDA+v1.1 died, I would have bought an 8RDA+v2.1 if I could have found one in the US. I couldn't so bought an NF7Sv2.

First one wouldn't stabilize above 215 X 11, and it died. Replacement wouldn't stabilize above 215 X 11 either. After lapping both NB and SB flat and adding a passive cooler to the SB, this one now stabilizes at 220 X 11.

I think you have a good board, and shouldn't assume you'll do better with an NF7Sv2.

Hey there Chimera. I've seen the Abit NF7-S rev 2.0 and it's excellent! The Northbridge cooler is like a Vantec Iceberq and sound will be nicer than the 8RDA+. SATA, LAN and Firewire 1394 is really a great plus and if you're saying you just have to add $20-$30 is unreal!!! I know 64-bit computing is just around the corner but $20-$30 ???

Now, there are of course considerations you have to take into acount:

1. Are you willing to spend time with NF7-S rev 2.0 to find it's most stable mix of BIOS rev, configuration and drivers?
2. Reinstalling and configuring settings of your Operating Sys?
3. Is your current setup stable and can handle everything you can throw at it?

If you decide to get the NF7-S rev 2.0 I would suggest you get Arctic Silver Ceramique for your heatsink and NorthBridge cooler. BTW, you have EXCELLENT peripherals on you're sys!

As you can see from my sig I'm on a 8RDA3+ (same specs except the audio) sys and If it didn't run stable and have the option of a $20-$30 upgrade I'll definately get it in a heartbeat! But unfortunately I don't have the $20-$30upgrade option and besides, my sys is ROCK STABLE now and handles everything I can throw at it

Let us know what you decide.
