I can't say for sure but I did see some users with the dut3c with the recent steppings doing quite good overclocks.. i.e. 2.4+ghz air. We had under impression that the dut3c oc's rather poorly back in the days but there are good overclockable ones out there.. but these are xp1700s though.

yeah, the older dut3c's tended to need more vcore (and that's the assumption that i'm still gonna use) but i also read the newer steppings did better...i'll probably just pull my barton out and throw this in to see for myself...but if it oc's better than the barton then i gotta take it out again and put it in my kt6 delta when i t comes in...oh well...btw, i haven't seen any posts on the kixhb steppings...

A barton running at 2.4ghz is nothing to sneeze at. Overall, I get the impression that most AXPs can do 2.3 to 2.4 fairly consistently. Every once in a while someone gets lucky getting 2.5, or unlucky with 2.2. The total difference in extremes is not much so I think there is little variation between recent steppings.

Hi, i Have a xp2000 tbred, and am looking to push my existing mhz up some more, just wondering what raises temp more, pushing up the multi or increasing the fsb ? currently temp idle`s at 41c, under load 46c. This is with a vcore of 1.8.

With CPU temp, it should nto matter whether you raise FSB or up a multiplier, the motherboards Northbridge would run hotter with a higher FSB though.
