Not that I'm saying this is "special".. but it's a nice achivement for me..

couldn't get past 38 sec time with the abit... DFI took care of it.

Still using my a year old XP1700 0310 dlt3c xpmw..

1 abit NF7 v2.0 which had been returned.

1 MSI KT6 Delta KT600 which is still being used.

1 DFI Lanparty NF2 which is the current board I'm using.

That's... 1 board being dud on me and the other two are "fantastic". So I don't see why you need to talk like i've been through decades of boards..

the MSI KT6 is one hell of a board and is going to be a "keeper". That is going to be my file server yay yay http://portfolio.iu.edu/skrska/ZZshowoff[1].gif

i used to do 38's with the abit nf7.. What you need is good tight timings, FSBs of at least 220 w/ 128bit DC, Fast CPU decode, and hefty amount of system clockspeed to get to good timing in the superPi.

i wished i could find a chip like that whatever, every time i turn around its getting better for you. wouldnt happen to know y i got 38's pi @ 2664 (222x12) with my xp3000? i just figured you would have hit 38's sooner, i wish i had some 3500 i would drop my multi down some more and push for some more FSB cause i noticed a deference in my times from 13x, 12.5x and 12x and my chip seemes to be more stable at the lower multipliers. @ 13x i can only reach 2600mhz and @ 12x i can get up to 2664mhz. and remember my crazy mobo??? its back to normal again!!!!! 36C cpu 15C sys @1.95 that beats the 100+ temps lol

i get 38's with the tbred 2650mhz@ 230fsb setting as well. Your superPi time is about where it should be at. i also get 38s with the tbred 2700mhz+@ 225+fsb or 2770mhz@ 220fsb. The superPi requires big jump in system performance to get single second improvement.. I need a lot of system overclock and performance power to get a second lower.. that's why piFast V41 (or Hexus piFast) has advantage over superPi being able to measure times by two decimal digits

I'm glad to see your abit CPU temp reading has gone back to normal. You sure do have one interesting board lol.

it depends on the system and the FSB oc settings.. Tras 11 setting as we know, does help a little with some NF2 system combos but it made no difference for mine in terms of both oc'ing, stability, and performance. My ram sticks accepts low Tras timings pretty well and i wanted to run it as fairly relax setting of 8. Also 8 is the turbo setting it comes with this DFI NF2 board.

Result on the supercooled Radeon9800pro card:

No Heatsinks on ram chips.

- 526 core / 405 mem without any Vmods

- 546 core / 405 mem - light vmod on the core

- tops out at 553 core to run 3dmark.

170+ FPS in Nature @ 546 core & 405 mem..

How well does that freezer keep up with the videocard and pelt? Does it heat up the watter signifigantly or just a slow rise?

BTW that looks great. every time I see it I think to myself "I have got to get me one of those!" Now if work would just pick up.

hey.. Staz, thanks...

with the 226w pelt unit attached to vid card and just straight waterchilled CPU will slowly bring up the ice temperature in my freezer. It usually takes about 13~ 16 hours to bring the ice temp up from -30C to -10C'ish. so yes, it brings up the temperature quite much faster than having both CPU & Vid card for straight waterchilling.
