"80 semiconductor not connected" I have upgraded a system for a client and he had bought a Scan 2010 case (from Scan in Bolton UK). The case is a cheap (£36 including PSU) one but the chassis is ok with plenty of fans. When the system boots up it prints a message on the initial boot screen (where it does the RAM checks etc) saying "80 semiconductor not connected". The system works fine but i am a little concerned about the message. anybody know what it refers to?

Sure that's actually the error message? It sounds like it's suggesting that there is no 80pin ribbon cable between the motherboard and hard disk. That will limit the speed of the IDE interface.
