oh btw, I enjoyed reading the ariticle you posted here for reference. Good read.
Thank you whatever, it's often a great help if while in the mist of a mis-communication a third party can step in and offer assurances.

Packet size would be standard packet size for IPv4 or IPv6 (depending which stacks the phone has). There should be relatively little interference on those frequencies assigned for UMTS or GSM. The reason for higher frequencies is the lack of backward compatibility between existing systems and new systems. It's not practical to cannabilise the existing network frequencies, as they're already in use. Hence, the need for a new frequency allocation. If there was no new frequency allocation, then the only way to put the new system in place would be to tear down the old system and force everyone to buy a new phone. The higher frequencies were used simply because they were the first available on a worldwide basis.

Reuse of frequencies assigned for DCS/GSM was not originally planned until 2010, when it was envisioned that GSM/DCS useage would be decreasing. At which point, these frequencies would be slowly folded back into the 3G fold. I suspect this re-use will start to happen sometime after 2010, especially with the speed at which UMTS networks are being deployed!

i have been able to keep this chip @ 49c idle... however , because i have just applied the artic silver, i am pretty sure trhat this temp will drop once the artic silver has broken in. This proc was a god-send...now i can actually use this hyperx mem to it's fullest!
is way better than my other project of unlocking a "super-locked" proc..which is definately not for the uninitiated in overclocking by any means. Cutting traces on a perfectly good proc makes me cringe...but the overclocking bug has it's teeth well embedded in my flesh...

3.5ghz sounds insane to me, wonder if they could hold it at that using a prommie.
My xp1700 is holding 200*10 at 1.55v, because of a certain 70mm tmd fan being a bit lacking for cooling, can post 2400 in windows with silly temps. Looking to watercool soon.

http://www.ajigo.com/product/MF035-032.htm
this is the cooler that came packaged with the proc..i don't understand..the website says rated for 2800+mp/3200+xp....is this "overclocked" chip expected to have such high heat levels? is that what they did, changed it to 166 from 133 because the demand was high, and give it a better cooler?
this chip really baffles me, as it can be @ 70c and still be as stable as ever....i wonder what it would do watercooled?if only a bag of money fell from heaven...
