wheres my agp driver ?

im still not able to run agp x8
i just update to catalyst driver from omega driver
and i udatede my chipset driver from nvida.com
but nothing helps then i got to look at chipset driver and there wasnt any agp driver?

is there a agp driver for my lanparty board and where can i find it

Hi Mid Viking,

I am surprised you are having so much trouble with the AGP driver issue. I never had that problem with any of the nForce2 boards I've owned. I didn't even have to update to any newer chipset drivers nor Gfx card's drivers.

What operating system did you say you run?

Do you have another card handy? Can you try a different card that supports 8X.

i run winxp full updated
no i only have a geforce3 64mb and a verry old tnt2 32mb
funny thing i have the same problem whit my 8k7a cant get the gefoce3 to run agpx4
what am i missing

Did you check in the BIOS to make sure the 8X AGP is enabled? Some old bios for older boards *might* not support it.

yes as soon i set agp x 8 i bios my comp frezz just i look at the 3dmark01 icon

Try disabling the AGP Fast Writes in BIOS.

also check what AGP bus speed you're running at.

it could also be the video card itself is being faulty.

i alrdy tryed all kind of settings in bios fast write on/off super bypass on off Vagp auto/1.5/1.6
3 difrent sysetm drivere 2 omega driver 2 catalyst driver

no matter what as soon i set agp x8 in bios and i can hardly look at the 3dmark01 icon before it slowly frezz

only thing i didnt try is dim1/2/3 driving strenght and dim1/2/3 driving slevrate
they are all set on auto
cos i cant find anything about that options anywhere

i don't think it's memory timing related. Something else is screwing up the AGP 8X function.

I'd offer, but you guys are a bit beyond me, I think. Honestly, my limited experience with graphics cards makes me wonder if you haven't got a problem with your card.

My GF4 MX 440 only does a little over 5K at AGP 8x, so don't feel bad.

somethings wrong my old rig whit a 2200+ and a geforce3 64mb no oc score 6k
u sure u talking about 3dmark01 and not 3dmark03

would it make any difrent if i install driver in agp x4 mode and then set agp to x8
or scould it be set at agpx8 before i isntall driver ?

btw i edit my sig its whit those settings i hit 14k in 3dmark01

Yeah, that was 3dmark01 (not 3dmark01se). I haven't yet installed 3dmark03.

I wouldn't think so that the agp mode when you install the drivers would make any difference, but I'm not an expert on such things.
