mobile 2500+

got a new proc.
any suggestions on settings for higher clocks? max voltage available without wires 1.7v. So far that's 2362mhz prime stable..same as my desktop. Same system as in my sig.
Will setting mem from 2-3-2-6 to 2-3-2-11 or 2-3-2-9 make a diff? 12.5x200 got me a reboot from windows. think i may have a bad cap tho.

1.7v limit kinda sucks, look into a mod. Im sure you could get plenty more out of that chip with a higher vcore. Also try a lower multi and a higher FSB add vdimm little by little too and yes loosening the timmings will allow you a higher FSB at the cost of performance. Just have to learn to ballence it. You have a good chip there if you can reach those speeds at that voltage. It takes my chip 1.95v just to be stable at 2405mhz. Good luck to you.

i get random reboots and weird video behavior on this board with 10 or 10.5 multi's...problably why the ADXA would not even boot @ those multi's.
i've memtested the mem and board all the way up to 240mhz @ 2.7v 2-3-2-6....with no errors. i know i could eek out a few more mhz with more voltage.....but hyperx mem has a voltage regulator...more than 2.7v and it won't even boot.
i tried the looser timings, but I lost so much performance i found it was not worth it.
really tho, i know all the basics...but never had the joy of playing with a mobile. I'm pretty sure that it'll do 2.7ghz on air. I am pretty sure that i have a bad cap...from the sound my board makes when folding & running adobe reader @ the same time, and because my 12v rail seems to have gotten quite anemic....11.34v should not be stable in my books, but i spent so much time figuring out airflow that there is no way i'm gonna unplug anything. 2363mhz ain't so bad. i'm was just looking for a few specific pointers...not general ones.

Well i would sugest a new mobo then. Somthing like abit nf7-s or an7 or DFI ultra infinity or lan party if you're feeling lucky i am among the lucky. But like you said you got a nice OC going as it is, you surely got what you paid for.

so i tried the wire in the socket to force 200mhz fsb....and boy..what results....when i first dropped in the proc, i was not getting accurate readings from any of my monitoring software for die temp....now, however, the #'s match what i saw in bios and through sisoftsandra.i have yet to test higher fsb that supposedly supposed to bring, but am currently in progress of doing so...
