So I got my MSI refurb motherboard from NewEgg on Tuesday. KT400 chipset with max of 333fsb.
Decide to do some tinkering last night. I pull an old Tbred 1600+ that I had in an old Biostar board and replace it with Pally 1600+. Then put the Tbred into the MSI board with a 256 stick of PC2700. 40gig hd. Old Nvidia 16mb video card and a beat up DVD drive and floppy with a 300watt Sparkle power supply. Altogether the build cost me about $180.
Throw her together, close my eyes, push the power button and she powers right on. Install Windows XP and set her to folding, then I get an idea...
I go into bios and set the FSB to 166 and save and exit.
Post shows 2200XP and the computer boots no problem. Running at 1.75ghz instead of 1.4ghz. Completely update windows and let her fold all night.
No errors whatsoever. So...add another to the fold!

This overclocking stuff is easier than I thought.
Edit: Btw, the reason I was so squeamish with this build was because this case has been cursed since the day I got it. Power supply went poopy and then blew my first board.
