What is the difference between the NF7-S and the NF7-S2??

i want to buy an abit nf7-s rev 2.0 to replace my epox 8kha+ that just broke but all i can find is the nf7-s2!!!

what is the difference between the two? which one's best?

ps: i don't use raid...

NF-7S is the better of the two. the nf7s2 offeres limited overclockability and limited cpu voltage adjustment (only up to 11% above stock IIRC)

the problem is i cant find the nf7-s!! only the s2!!

any other alternative board i should pick?

The s2 is a budget board. I think there is very little voltage selection, just vdimm.

Where are you located? In the US, mailorder is the best route. I just bought another nf7s v2.0. Newegg, zipzoomfly, and excaliberpc all carry the mobo. I have 3 and all three are excellent performers.

The NF7 v2 may be worth considering too if you don't plan on using SATA or the onboard nVidia SoundStorm Audio.

i had an NF7 and it ran very well....not an audiophile so the lack of soundstorm wasn't missed either.
