| Samsung high speed DDR what is the best (and cheapest) way to get samsung TTCD ram that will overclock like hell. I need something that will OC into the DDR560ish range, and i need 2 512MB sticks. I think most of the major players are making it, corsair, Geil, Mushkin, and OCZ. but are there any generic / dodgey brands that use these same chips. i dont want gold heatspreaders, or rolling lcd displays, or attatched waterblocks, just plain fast ram (sans sticker if possible). any thoughts?

The only company I know is A-DATA - I'm 99% sure the VITESTA DDR550 and DDR600 are all based on Samsung TCCD mem chips (I know whole lot of people owning exactly these sticks). http://www.adata.com.tw/en/products-d-un.htm cheers

| Regardless of how you decide, you best decide quick. Samsung has ceased production of tccd chips...and will not make any more. Apparantly DDR2 is part of AMD's new roadmap, so it only makes sense to stop DDR for DDR2 production. anyway, buy now, or never buy.....ever.

| yea i know AMD say they will go DDR2 but it cant be all that soon given how bad ddr2 is at this stage. if DDR is capable of stretching to DDR600 cas 2.5 and ddr2 goes as far as 800 (could be higher im not sure) there doesnt seam to be a performance advantage in changing. In any case i dont intend buying them now, or new, i just would like to know which cheaper brands stock the stuff. When the switch from sdram happened i waited till people started selling off the quality stuff on ebay / trading post. so im more looking to be able to identify good second hand deals. if it goes out of production, great! lol.
