Question A8n Sli Deluxe + A64 3000 Winchester

One of my friends has just bought this system

A8N SLI DX
3000 A 64 WINCHESTER
2X512 MB PQI DDR 400
1X PALIT 6600 GT PCIEX 128
200 GB MAXTOR
......

It'll run BF2 like a dream
It'll run C O Riddick the same
No problems whatsoever except
3dMark03,05 when after the first test will have an error screen
PCMark05 when fails at the memory write attempt.

I was at his place briefly and i made a memtest cd for him.
He tested for 3 hours with no errors, what the hell could it be?
HT was set at 4 and at auto with no improvement. All was set to optimal in bios also with no success.

PLS help !

Chris
