Speaker for my PC?

Hi again have a question for all of you. How many watts can onboard sound handle? Motherboard is Abit AN7 using AC97. That is when you plug in unpowered speakers.

Why is Phonetic not spelt Phonetically, and why is the word Abbreviation so long?

My Ex gives 100% sound adivce, 99% sound, 1% adivce.

Onboard sound generally won't provide very much - it's designed to drive the high resistance (10,000 Ohms or so) of an amplifier rather than the 8 or so ohms of a speaker. For example, the ALC650 and ALC658 (AN7 uses this for AC97) chips can provide 0.05W (That's 50milliwatts).

Thank you very much for the info. I won't do what I was going to do then! And now won't hurt anything now as well.
