Talking Wow.. look like the cpu was not dead after all

I thought I cracked my core on my T-bird 1.1ghz well to make a long story short it turned out to be the Mobo that went out, and I stuck the Cpu in another pc with a dead Duron for I dunno how it died.. but I turned the Pc on with no heatsink, and with just my Finger on the Core.. Can you say OUCH! in like 1 Second.. I ripped the Power Plug out to prevent killing the Cpu... I thought for sure it was dead because the Cpu die was chipped off on the side, I guess not, works pretty good, and no lock ups at all.

Think how hot a 60W lightbulb gets. Now imagine that same amount of heat concentrated on just the die on the CPU. That's why it gets so hot so quickly!

I wouldn't recommend the use of a finger as a heatsink either.

WMP11 - that's a Broadcom based 802.11b adapter. One of the supermarkets in Rome was selling 802.11b USB adapters for €9.90

Lol I did not think it would do anything... Whichis why I put my finger on it, when I find the picture I took you will understand why I put my finger on it beacuse I had no hopes of it working.
