754 Sli

I am about to buy the Epox 754 SLI board. this leaves me with two questions.
the first; what is the best low end card I could use for SLI? I want this for
flight sims and multiple monitors (4-6). I understand that the SLI function is enabled on board so a bridge is not necessary. this leads me to think that any mached pair of pci-e video caeds will work.
ok, three questions! I am also thinking of using the A64M 3400 Sledgehammer or A64 3700 Sledge, both socket 754. oc'ing will be part of the program and
how much good memory will also be important.
economics will play a huge roll and there will be room to upgrade later on. I
already have a 3000+ Newcastle and 2x256/3200XMS to get this project on
its feet. the hanging point is the pci-e vid card and any suggestions will be
greatly appreciated. many thanks to all.

Ron

the idea was driven by economics. with 754 and SLI, 939 is not an option. I
can keep the newie and NF8 for folding! wife is still happy with 1.8 Duron!

xfx now have the 6600GT with a 500mhz clock and gddr3 for $145USD. looking back
to the EpoxTech thread, it showed a bridge on the two Epox 6600's. the search is on
for SLI ready vid cards.

thanks G. been very busy with football. even when they're on the road the
stadium must be ready for the next home game. I get a four day weekend
and spend it working on the house.

Didn't know that you worked for the NFL. Definitely some status there! Best wishes to you and your wife, I hope that you have a very Merry Yuletide!

Have you thought about a 6800GS or 6800XT? There's always a single GPU solution which is the X800GTO or GTO2 modded to X850XT, but I don't think you wanna do that.
