A couple of things

I was looking for a SLi ready mATX motherboard and came upon this

Would that not be great for folding?? Imagine 4 x 880 opterons folding (thats 8 clients!)

But the real reason for this post

Does a SLi capable mATX motherboard exist?

For me it is cheaper to get 2x 6600GTs than a single 6800 or 2x 6800GTs than a single 7800 let alone 2x 7800GTX's

And I would like to create a small graphics orientated MB, that and using a dual core, say playing a DVD on the TV (one graphics out) and also using it for something else say gaming (second graphics out to a Screen), as I enjoy gaming more than TV and my fiance can't stand gaming.

The mATX board in a shuttle size case will fit behind the couch, or TV, where a full ATX wont.

I dont think there's such thing as a mATX SLI motherboard...kind of self defeating purpose (lack of space)

By my estimates, 2 6600GTS would cost $250

for that much you could get these at better preformance...

I live in New Zealand

try www.pricespy.co.nz

Chaintech 6600GT 256MB PCIe $250 - each
Chaintech 6800GT 256MB PCIe $632 - each
MSI 7800GT 256MB PCIe $579 - each - online only store

I was actually thinking 1 PCI 2x PCIe x16 and onboard, ethernet, etc

maybe not though. If I can find a 7800GT for the price of 2 6600GT's well that would probably be better, unless you can think of a better ATI card - I haven't had much to do with them.

Just the models - pricespy while good I can sometimes find better deals. Also remember that its in New Zealand dollars - so roughly 60% of that price converts it to US dollars

EDIT: I was looking at getting 1 card, then a second later - so spending around $250 - $300 on each, but may just save for that 7800GT even if the brand is sparkle

I don't think it can have a GPU however. OR it only supports ATI, not sure, is pci-x pci express?
EDIT: it's also $1400

It has an integrated GPU. I don't see any PCI-Express X16 slots on there either, PCI-X 66Mhz is something different.
