Hmm. I think AMD is running into a perceived value problem. While the dual core AM2 processors will undoubtedly kick adze, is the computering public ready to spend so much more for a dual core AM2 CPU when they can buy a double core Intel processor that's "faster" for a good deal less?

I want to rejoin the AMD family, however, the price for a fast AM2 processor is very high indeed. Sure, they'll become cheaper in time. Truth be told, I have no need for a dual core CPU at all. Sigh.

Unfortunately Intels Dual core processors suck, imeo. AM2 moves on up to DDR2 as well. Once AMD gets 2 cores to function as 1 (which would be totally killer), you should rejoin the AMD Family.
