Nforce4 spdif out doesn't work with Nvidia audio driver.

Has anyone with an NF4 board (ALC850) managed to output any audio signal through spdif out, using the NVidia audio drivers?

I just learned the hard way that the NV drivers somehow "disable" your digital outputs (I can see the signal in the Mixer but I can't hear a thing), and therefore the only thing you're left with is the crappy Realtek driver which even in its latest version is just terrible in some games (sound stuttering, cutting out).

Do you guys think we will see a release of the nV audio driver someday which actually WORKS for this chipset?

ALC850 is very generic so i should think a driver update will be released soon.

Well there's the beta 4.64 nV driver which doesn't help a bit

Thought the nForce4 used the standard AC97 interface - hence the realtek drivers?

So nForce3 doesn't? I mean this worked on my MSI Neo2, but there's many people having problems with the NV driver on NF4 specifically.
