Does anyone have any ideas to help me with setting CMD rate 1T (CPC on, I think?) on a DFI LAN PARTY NFII ULTRA Rev.A+ (NOT RevB)? RevB BIOS are not stable on the board, though they are supposed to have the option; all of the Rev.A+ BIOSes do not.

I've tried disassembly of the BIOS (including the primary section of the BIOS, and the XGROUP and YGROUP code portions), and while I found one section that appears to mess with the registers (bus 0 device 0 func 1 regs 84-87), modification of them did not seem to be persistent, suggesting it's set elsewhere afterwards, if that code is called at all. This is further supported by the fact that the code at that section turns auto-prefetch off, however, auto-prefetch defaults to on after boot.

Nowhere could I find in one place the values that are set to the 84-87 registers, and that was the only code I could locate in the BIOS related to them.

Currently using the 12/13/04 Beta BIOS for this board.

Any help, ideas, discussion, or whatever would be very appreciated.

I thought there was already a modded BIOS out that provided that capability? I'm not familiar with the DFI boards personally, however one of our other members who drops by here from time-to-time (whatever) might have some thoughts.

I'm not familiar with any such thing for the RevA LAN PARTY NFII ULTRA. As I stated, the RevB board's BIOS DOES have the option.. the ULTRA INFINITY based on the NF2 Ultra (essentially the same board as the RevB, if I'm not mistaken) does, also. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any sign that anyone has wanted to mess with the RevA.
