I would like a moment of silence...

for the crushed core on my 1 gig tbird. I was swappping heatsinks and rushing myself so the core was cracked.

No boot for me!!! Looks like that XP 1700+ isn't gonna be my secondary chip now...

That damn chip was a smoker too...

The chip dying doesn't bother me at all actually. The chip dying cause I'm a lazy dumbass, that bothers me.

Unhappy A moment of Silence

Yes a moment of silence.....how was I supposed to know that pulling a nylon nut off which had been superglued to the back of a motherboard (may it rest in peace.....or would that be pieces)would pull a few traces along with it....DOH!

you havent cried till you realize you killed three chips in one day. all because of a epox 8k7a board


1800+ xp dead.........never had a chance
600 duron that did 1000..........dead
1333 that did 1600 also dead


at this time i am without a working AMD system in this house

Jen, a friend from work is giving me an 850 Duron. if it works I would be happy to pass it on. he tried the pencil trick and it wouldn't boot and I've got to check it out:-D

wish i could find someone who had a computer store or a way to rma oem processors for me..........they are not burnt.......chipped or cracked in any way
