Did have him @ 3003mhz with a succesful 3dmark06 but had to raise the Vcore to 1,5V and that give me a load temp. of 50 dgr.C. ..... i d'ont like that. But nevertheless, can use the 3G+ to benchmark..

Ouch, how it must feel to be so close to that precious score of the big 3.0. Only 30mhz. But you already said it needed more vcore. Personally, i'd probably do the same (well i would now and no, i'm not a hypocrit )

Yep, with watercool it may not be a problem to get on with 3G but ... d'ont know yet, must think about that and decide if it is worth to spent a lot of money on a qualitative good watercoolingset for that extra 33 mhz..mmhh, very tempting.

But you might get much more that 33 MHZ...

Ever since I went to water there is no way I would go back to air. Just me though...

Considers among many....:

I much prefer a set up that is independent of the case, see Example:

http://www.koolance.com/shop/product...roducts_id=256

I REALLY prefer the quite ones, they aren't all that quite!

Get some cooling muscle, big rad and 120 fans with adjustable speeds (adj. speeds are a must for me!)

I can't go back to air either, in fact just water cooled my first Video card!.

Very interesting product, Daniel, very simple to assemble and, important, very effective. Have read the review but for now i have to pass taking in account my resent purchase, the Dell 30". But in the near future, wen also the price drops.., then i will seriously consider to buy this watercooler and work comfortable @ 3G or a bit more.
Thx. for the tip anyway.

Be warned, I sent you off to the clearance section...where I bought mine (":O}

Add $200.00 for a un-refurbished (Read NEW) model. However I received mine with but a very small scratch on the LED, other wise like new!

I can recommend this setup without hesitation.

Well....... if your board is not too caried away with its ht link speed, try running at 1ghz +, you might see some crazy preformance gains ! Mine is running 1160 right now, and its actually faster than a 4x and a higher clock speed.

Edit: I mean, running @ 2550 core and 1160 ht, my comp is faster than 2670/972

Think i gonna go for the thermaltake Symphony minie. From the various reviews at tech power up it seems to be a very good no nonses cooling unit and a little less expensive like the Exos-2. And.. last but not least you can unplugged it without messing any coolant!

For now i gonna edit mi sig cos this opteron 185 @ air sucks. Only prime stable @ a + 100mhz.... i can't belief that i have that much luck....
But on the other hand... With my 2 GTO's and this poor CPU, i play F.A.E.R. with a min. of 49 fps @ 2048x1536, all max. with a 2X AA on mi 30 inch Dell. So i ask myself...what is the prob..For now.
