Heheh, Nahh it is a poor card, by modern standards at least, but if it can tide me over till the next big upgrade I am happy

I put a 6600Gt in my nephews card and OC the crap out of it. It ran Doom 3 UT 04 and WOW just fine. It will still do fine for the price of the card.

I happen to like the 6600GT so much, I have 4 of them. 2 on an 8npa-sli. I do a lot of flight sims and can't wait
to get all my monitors together in one place. I'll span four 20" crt's cause the're cheep.

Ditto!

In US dollars (approximately)

EDIT:
$75 CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 3800+ 2.0GHz (up to 2000MHz, with HyperTransport Technology)
$80 Memory: 2 GB DDR Ram
$75 Hard Drive: 200GB SATA Hard Drive
$75 Graphics: 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600 3D PCI-Express Graphics
$35 Optical Drive: Lightscribe DVDRW +/- Dual Layer Burner
$5 Modem/Fax: V.90 56 Kbps Fax / Data Modem
$30 Network: 10/100 Network Card Standard, Wireless 802.11 a/b/g LAN
$0 Sound: Integrated Realtek ALC658 Digital Audio - Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound
Ready
$0 Ports: USB & Firewire Ports
$10 Card Reader: 9-1 Digital Card Reader
$20 Keyboard/Mouse: One-touch Enhanced Keyboard, PS/2 Optical scrolling mouse
$10 Speakers: 2 speaker system
$80 Operating System: Windows XP Home Software
+$60 for the mobo for the above features.

Of course this is approximate.... Some would claim that I don't have the info to claim the low end pricing.... but then again, this IS how resellers try to sell systems. On paper sounds good, 'cause no body ever opens the case.

Approximate total: $555!!!
in AUS ~$680 so the rippoff is about AUS $700

EDIT2: Keep in mind I am pricing components on what I expect a low ball shop to use, not what anyone cruising AOA would recommend. If you built it yourself, buying quality components... on paper, it would look almost identical, but cost about $200 more, and the system would be 100 times better.
