Question New Prices

http://www.vr-zone.com/

WE HAVE SOME interesting price and product shifts on both AMD and Intel prices being quoted by Euro distributors to their system integrators today.
Although distributors say that AMD officially cuts its prices on the 14th of April next, the reality is that the AMD prices below are already being applied in anticipation of the move.

And it's also interesting to note that Intel is already making moves to substitute the 256K cache Pentium 4 processors with the better performing 512K cache CPUs, as it prepares to launch a 2.4GHz Pentium 4.

Below are the prices system integrators are being quoted in Europe, along with stock availability of the tray and boxed parts.

These availability notes apply to distributors – it doesn't necessarily mean that there are shortages as such – the CPUs available ebb and flow like the tide.

Intel is expected to introduce its 1.40GHz Pentium 4 based Celeron in April.
