My X2

Got me self an X2 4200+ so i could double my folding!

Everything seems fine clocked at 2.75ghz o'clocked. Need to do some stress testing.. First question, stress test the cores individually?

ANd odd thing is NB temperature has risen by 10C as have hard drive temps! This not usual.. Any ideas whats wrong? As is the fact that i cant set the Mem divider lower than 166

Using DFI bard as mentioned in sig.

Any help. Much Appreciated

The NB on these boards will get quite warm when OCing. A nicely placed fan moving air across the board will help much.

Stress test the cores together.

Looks like you need to work on the air flow in your case. The X2 will dump a lot of heat in your case so make sure you have goos flow across the board and out the back.

Sorted the fans out, added an exhaust fan to the side panel, already got a an intake on the sidepanel which wasnt working casue the front fan died and since the side panel fan is powered via it it also stopped! Replaced it now, all is fine.

Now stress testing ran 1hr with Prime95.. Error showed up, notch it down a little.

At least Pakistan beat the Aussies in the 20/20 cricket!

That is pushing it for me. It is not TOO high but I would not let it get any higher. What cooler do you have again?

And at what voltage and clock speed?

Im at 2.7Ghz at 1.4v, and using a Vapochill Cooler..

Like this one.. Komplett.co.uk - Vapochill Micro Ultra Low Noise Cooler, 92mm fan, Socket 754/939/940

I think i can knock the voltage down a little, and stress test again to amke sure its stable.

My 6600's go flaky in prime the instant either core hits 70 and prime shuts down.
I'd "Think" you'd be fine, but I'd keep a sharp eye on ambient, at these settings every degree of room temp is at lest one degree of core temp... as far as my set up in Seattle goes...":O}

They just moved up a notch on the axis of evil after that game. They're right behind North Korea and Wales on the "To Invade" list.

Even Bin Laden's got them on his naughty list. As much as he loves a good Jihad, he loves Adam Gilchrist even more.
