Any ECS VIA KT266A motherboard I would recommend, SIS chipsets are getting a good reputation but I have no personal experience with them

The K7S5A is a good board.

It might be worth looking fo a KT266A chipset based board now the KT333 is out.

Say a cheap 8k7a or 8kha+

I got my Abit KT7A Raid board from Computer Geeks for $72 although it is a rev. 1.2. This was delivered to my front door!
Even if you don't want to run raid the board has 2 more controllers for more drives.

The K7S5A is probably your best bet. It is the cheapest, given its capabilities (under $60). With the built in NIC & sound, you save extra. It is also one of the few boards that can handle DDR and SDR RAM. The only down side is they are not good for high end Tbirds, but if you are planning on using a Duron or XP... or even a Tbred down the road, this mobo is a good investment. Keep in mind the additional stability and low price come from the fact that the board does not have the necessary components to adjust many of the necessary things to overclock easily.

See sig, I love mine.
