It will, and it does, but it still leaves AMD relegated to the bargain bin. The bargain bin is NOT where AMD wants to be if they intend to push leading-edge technology development. Granted, at the moment AMD are still basically fighting for their lives. The problem is that if you aren't moving forward and gaining ground, eventually you fall back and die. |

According to a review that danrok kindly posted a link to, the hexa-core Phenom II isn't genuinely competitive with the six-core i7's. Except for a handful of benchmarks, the i7's and most of the i5's cream AMD's entrant in the race. Then again, how many folks can drop a grand on a proc?
