Not necessarily. I just bought a higher rpm fan for my cheapie heatsink, for $6. It's a Ytech from SVC. It may be the P/S but, that will cost. I'm just suggesting the cheaper trick for now. Who knows, it may be the trick that works. It may still be the P/S.

I also run a separate old AT P/S just for my fans, to take the weight off the one running the board. It's a jig rig, I know. But, it works.

American ingenuity for cheaper living.

What can I say?

It's a quandary.

Good Luck,

BRUNO

The only durons that are really stable over 1000 are the newer Morgan cores. Most of the spitfire cores, like we own are limited to around 1G.

All you can do is try. Some of these chip surprise us. But, don't feel let down if it doesn't . Ya get what ya ask for...

Tweak it the best you can, and be satisfied. You have a great little chippie.

Just because a board doesn't support overclocking doesn't mean it cant be used to overclock. If your board doesn't allow you to set the multiple after you close all the L1 bridges you could selectively close some of them (and possibly open others) to make the chip think it has a higher multiple by default. There is a graphic on which bridges correlate to which clock multiple on one of the other main overclocking boards (Tom's???) but I lost the link two reinstalls ago. Can someone else offer it up please?
