AMD increases performance of Trinity cores

"AMD claims that the coming Trinity APU cores are proving to be better than it expected and it has increased performance projections and set up launch timeframe for the chip."

Good news, yet I still don't understand where the APU fits into the solar system of home computing. Is the PC really on the way out?
When the world will be better.

APU's are sort of the next gen of integrated GPU's

They are more powerful and use less power than the old way of having the GPU integrated with the MB.

Basically instead of buying a low end dedicated graphics card, you would use one of these. They have enough power to run full HD or even 3D TV, as well as older games or newer games at lower resolutions and are typically cheaper.

The PC may be changing but most definitely not on it's way out yet.
