| I don't understand the real diff in performance between AMD and Intel procs. I do know that the four core Intel i-5 CPU that replaced my two core AMD proc running at the same speed is much faster. Yet any encouragement from AMD for Intel to drop their prices is most welcome!

| Makes me wonder what the potential prices of their next line of Opterons will be. Looking forward to their next lineup of them for socket AM3+.

| AMD's in a catch-22; they need to be more profitable so that they can develop more competitive chips, but they need more competitive chips so that they can be more profitable. AMD's a bottom-dweller in the market; always has been. That's unfortunate, but it's also reality. And making profit as a bottom-feeder is extremely difficult. |
