sound too fast on ABIT AT7 under Win98

I installed an Athlon XP 1800+ on the ABIT AT7, with a RADEON 8500 LE graphic card, but after all the drivers ' installation, I still can't play a MPEG video correctly, whereas sometimes AVI video are well played.
It seems that that kind of problem are due to the sound card drivers, but I don't know where I can find new ones
did someone experience the same problem ?
how can I solve it ?

Check out the cmedia forum at www.3dsoundsurge.com

You can get the latest drivers off WindowsUpdate if you're running XP.

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. A lot of hardware these days is being marketed with a minimum compatibility spec of Win2K/ME or newer..... reflects M$'es wishes not to support Win95/98/SE anymore....
