conductive ink/etc needed

I was looking for some suggestions. I used the defogger repair kit and only got a few cpus unlocked and it cost like $14 locally... I was hoping there was a better solution available for less or one that would at least last longer...

I was even thinking of using arctic silver after I superglue the pits...

I am in the same boat. Got a Tbird unlocked with the Defogger kit but have had terrible success at unlocking my Morgan.

Ixnay on the Arctic Silver, Pinky. It doesn't conduct electricity unless under pretty far out of normal conditions, such as serious mechanical pressure. It's non-conductivity is its great selling point!

OTOH, old(not-AS) silver thermal pastes conduct voltage like crazy.

Pinky if you want, try the conductive pen. I bought one locally. The brand name is CircuitWorks Conductive Pen (Micro Tip). I don't know how much it will be better than what you have used but maybe worth a try.. it costs around $14 though. Try a search engine and type this brand name for your location.

It just cost more around here, and is a very small amount (we probably have the same stuff, but I'm out already after only 6 tries and 4 unlocks).

I know LF, but it works

Oh, and I think the gap filler is actually clear nail polish in this case, I've been using superglue with decent results though...

Well, it seems that the kit is 'adequate' and probably only has enough 'stuff' for a few unlocks, but since Pinky is looking at spending another $14, $11.99+shipping may not be a bad deal.
Just my 2cents.

Pinky, don't forget to give us your review of this kit.

I won't. I'm probably going to be waiting until next week on the new proc, but as you can see in my sig I am in no real hurry

OOOOOH!!!
I never thought of that! Seems much safer that crazy glue. With my luck, I'll be walking around for a week with a CPU attached to me, . Maybe I'll try clear nail polish instead. hmmm...
