Engineering Sample :D

Went to RE-PC today. Bought a k6-166 engineeringsample for $1. this thing looks so much cooler than the commercial chips. I'm gonna de-cap it and make it a key-ring then diretdie cool the chip.

Re-PC is definitely good for some things.

Yo, Daniel ~ and all. You gotta take Spode to Boeing Surplus!! Closed Sun, but open at 10 AM Monday. It's a must! Last time I was there, 5 Y.O., working Dell Desktops and Towers w P-133, 64 or more Mb DIMMS or SIMMS, built-in 10 Mhz NIC's, 4 or 2 Mb Vidcards, ~2.5 Gb HDD's-- for $10. Need a router or firewall? You got it!

Mice, $5, Dell QuietKey keyboards, $1. If you're real lucky, zip-ties for half the usual retail. Olde PCB's for VAX's and suchlike, $5. Weird PS's, gigantic(you oughta see the bus bars in 'em) precision to 0.0001v DC PS's. It's nerd's(and general bargain hunter's) paradise. Of course, getting all the stuff you could buy at Boeing Surplus in Kent, Wa to the UK could be very expensive. Sigh.

Probably worth a look, even if you buy nothing!

I would keep it if I were you. Think of it, get some odd parts maybe an old Voodoo 1 or 2 card and early Kenwood TruX drive etc... And build a working box out of it.
