checking an unlock with multimeter

I've just acquired a new cpu which I'm going to unlock before fitting it. Its a bit of a hassle with the alpha pal cooler if its not good so I wanted to check it first.

Is it simply a matter of checking the resistance between matching pins and and adjacent bridges?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, BUT!!! use a very low resistance when checking it. This should give you an accurate reading and NOT push too much current threw the new bridge.
