XP2100+ AGOIA Potential???

Got an XP2100+:
AGOIA 0211XPIW
Y7948320098 (serial number?)

Currently is locked, have had it at 143fsb (EPoX 8K3A+), but am considering the hassle of getting it unlocked, so as to run fsb and mem bus synchronously, at above 166mHz. Cooling via AX7/Sunon 80mm#3900rpm/50cfm.

Anyone know if the AGOIA has any potential, or am I better off looking for another cpu?

Yes, mine is currently running with a generic 350watt psu at 1794mhz 100% stable.

I can boot higher. Others can get theirs into the 1900mhz range with 2.00v, but that requires modding if I remember correctly.

AGIOA's have great potential from the 1600+ XP's that have been round. You're pretty much guarenteed 1.7 outta it from 1.4. Unlocked ones hit 1.95...Lionfish is smokin with his over in this thread

I can push mine to 1764 (10.5x168) but I hate running the rmem at anything less than the most agressive. 162 FSB does me fine thoug...pops 1.7 You should get a sweet OC from it, but then again you may not get a very high one. It's all in the luck of the draw really, but the AGOIA stamped on that sucker sure helps

My AXP 2100+ AGOIA runs at 1901mhz @ 1.80v 24/7. It'll do 2ghz, but that requires better cooling than what I use for daily use.

Where are you guys getting your AGOIA's, esp, the xp2100?
I'm considering upgrading my cheezy 1800 since the prices are very reasonable again, but I've gotten 3 so-so cpus from NewEgg, and I was wondering if you all had a 'special' place to find the good ones.

Best bet is to order a XP1600+ plus newegg.com, it's guaranteed to be AROIA or AGOIA which both overclock very well.

Got mine at Newegg.com, about 5-6 weeks ago.
