That's not fair holst. I can, but can't, and therefore don't like to take too many chances.

I'm gonna try the tape later, when I have time.

Go dood, go! I've heard of poor results with tape, but it does sound cleaner, I see your point. Me, I'm going to use the superglue and defogger paint method, the chances of success are better. Check this review of a kit you can buy that has everything

If you're worried about removing the unlock and/or voiding the warranty, use the highspeedpc.com unlocking stuff, that's what I use and prefer it over the defogger method.

No St. Vitas dance here, just premature need of reading glasses.

Yea, me too. I have to take my glasses off to see what the hell is going on.

My tape experiment failed along w/ the wire try.

I gotta get a conductive pen and rock w/ you guys.

Hopefully I'll find one in town.

I tried the cellular phone material and couldn't get it to work. It was the same basic idea as the tape we speak of. Problem seems to be that the bridge connectors are slight recessed, so when you lay things across it doesn't make contact. This is why paint/ink works, because it gets into the recess.

I saw the video for the cell phone stuff, but now I have my doubts as to whether that was a legitimate unlock...

Fair does, i might still try the tape/conductive paint idea, but more likely then not ill just get some epoxy out and do it proper.

I ran an Athlon and a Duron overclocked for a good year each with nothing more than pencil graphite - if u screw up it's easy to remove and it's neater than glue. Only problem is it doesn't last too long so I put a tiny strip of electrical tape over the bridges to stop it from falling off with time. It worked trust me. Are the bridges on XP/MP much smaller or something?
