How do I unlock multipliers?

Have an Athlon XP 1900+ (AGOGA) running at the stock 1.6GHz on and ASUS A7S333. I'm wondering exactly how I might be able to overclock it - at current, I could take it up slightly, as the 12.5 multiplier is unlocked (stock is 12), but I crave more... (I just watercooled my rig)

prat, you might find that the easiest way is to do "The wire trick". It worked on my MSI K7N2G-L with an Athlon xp2400+, and this link is to a page that does it on an Asus A7N8X with an Athlon xp2400+.

Just use a really thin piece of wire like one strand out of the 10-12 strands that are twisted in one of the small wires that are used to connect your reset switch or case speaker. It should be short too, only need to have it about 1/4" or 6mm length. Unless you have superman eyes use a magnifier , one more word of advice, either have the picture of the location printed out or on a seperate pc than the board you are working on for reference . Helps to mark the space between the two holes with a fine tip marker.

Thanks alot, I'll try that in a few minutes. I've been busy rewiring my system with paperclips (just changing voltage on fans, before you get too worried), so I'll have to wait a bit.

I think there was a fairly good guide on Toms Hardware on painting the bridges with conductive paint. I used a window defogger kit and it worked great. Be careful though, those Pallys run hot!
