So these APU's do away with CPU's? Or can you run both of them(in a desktop box at any rate)?
Is that Turkish?

An APU is a CPU and GPU, on the same die.

So, the benefits should be greater speed, less power consumption and heat.

What's most interesting is that using GPU's to crack encryption is far, far faster than CPU's. I wonder if the same holds for APU's?

You'd think, at any rate.

Same would apply.

But, these APUs are not designed and built to be top end performers. They're intended for low price, mid range performance. Ideal for laptops, because having the GPU built in to the system processor, is a more efficient design than having it built in to the motherboard, which is the current norm.

I guess they could eventually produce high-end APUs, but I would wonder how to cool that.

Ah, thank you for the elucidation!
